The Gospel of Mathew 4:1-11 and Luke 4:1-13 records the temptations of Jesus. After spendingforty days and forty nights in the wilderness in communion with His Father, he is confrontedwith three major temptations. On the first day of His ministry He is tempted to take the crownwithout the cross.
